Cascade Clamps - Cascade Manufacturing Company was founded in Portland, Oregon in the year 1943. They started out as a small machine shop in the beginning employing 4 people. Product sales for their first year of operation totaled sixty thousand dollars. The very first recorded sales revenues involved the machining and assembly of stainless-steel pipe fittings, valves and other components. During five years of operation, the business had expanded to forty employees and their annual sales volume had risen to 330 thousand dollars. These days, Cascade is amongst the top international makers in the material handling trade.
Design and manufacturing of the company's original hydraulic cylinder allowed this young business to aggressively engage in better business opportunities. All through the last 60 years, the trade of material handling has developed into a really advanced area with Cascade proudly playing a part in its growth. Cascade at present continues to develop as the premier supplier of lift truck accessories and different associated items. A second manufacturing plant was built in the year 1959 in Springfield, Ohio. 1960 marked Cascade's preliminary move into the international world of the material handling industry when the company established interest in England, Australia, and the Netherlands.
In 1964, the company altered its name to the Cascade Corporation. After that in the year 1965, the company went public with an initial offering of 200,000 shares of common stock. Ever since then the company has expanded its manufacturing facilities throughout the continental US to the areas Warner Robins Georgia to go along with its already current plants in Springfield, Ohio and Portland, Oregon. Cascade products are made internationally because of many subsidiary operations. In 1994, a new facility was completed in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European control center. This facility is made to be the essential customer service centre.
Cascade further expanded their product base in the year 1996 and the year 1997 subsequent to buying 5 firms, which included the Kenhar Corporation, the international best in blades.
